CHICO SUMMER SHOOTOUT

Founded in 2022 in honor of Chico, the Chico Summer Shootout is where the city comes to hoop. Hosted at O’Connell South Common Park, the league brings unmatched energy every week and showcases top basketball talent from across the region. Friday nights feature elite men’s runs now entering Year 5, while Mondays spotlight high school boys in Year 3 as the next generation makes its mark. The Summer Shootout also gave birth to (CBC) Chico’s Basketball Club launching this spring 2026 as a new AAU program built to develop talent year-round. With a loud atmosphere, serious competition, and even NBA players pulling up to catch the action, the Chico Summer Shootout is more than a league, it’s a summer tradition.
